Reiki Symbols and Their Meanings

Reiki is a form of therapy that employs the transfer of energy between human beings and objects. An integral part of this therapy session is the various symbols that form a part of the rituals. The Distance and Mental symbol is used to heal a patient who is not physically present next to the healer. This energy can travel over large distances, but an object that belongs to the patient is required to be touched by the healer. It is known to be used for karmic healing as well.

This is the Master symbol, and it is used to awaken a new sense of strength and wisdom in the patient. Its power overrides the others, and it is the most commonly practiced one.
