Warts, also known as verruca vulgaris, are growths on the skin that are small and benign. It is a common skin disease that many people, of all ages, suffer from and is extremely contagious too. They are caused due to infection by a virus known as the human papilloma virus (HPV) which is of 100 different types.
Warts are mainly of three different types, common warts, genital warts and plantar warts. The virus enters the human body through cuts or cracks in the skin and the type of HPV viral infection causes the different types of warts. These growths may also be painful to touch and may cause a great deal of discomfort and embarrassment.

Natural Treatment for Warts

Although there are a number of conventional wart treatments, natural treatment is most sought after, due to its effectiveness and quick healing. Also, these natural treatments ensure that warts do not reappear, and eliminate them thoroughly. Here are some natural remedies for the different types of warts.

Genital Warts Natural Treatment

Genital warts tend to occur in clusters and are more common in men than in women. They are highly contagious and can be transmitted through anal and oral intercourse too. Genital warts in pregnant women can be transmitted to the newborn infant.
To cure genital warts, apply a mixture of vitamin E oil and crushed garlic in the affected area, let it stay and do not wash it off. Another good natural treatment for genital warts is to prepare a mixture of some essential oils like a ½ teaspoon tea tree oil and ½ a teaspoon castor oil, and apply it to the affected area with cotton wool.
Homeopathy treatment for genital warts include the consumption of medicines like Nitricum acidum and thuja that have known to be beneficial in the cure of such warts and the symptoms of genital warts.

Facial Warts Treatment

Facial warts fall under the category of common warts that may also be found in area of the body like the hands, elbows, fingers, forearms and around the fingernails. These can spread if you try to pick them or trim them and facial warts in men are known to spread as a result of shaving.
The best treatment for facial warts is preparing a mixture of castor oil and the juice of figs. Apply this to your face and let it stay for around 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Continue this for at least two weeks for the desired results. Duct tape wart removal is another effective method that can be used to get rid of warts.
You can also run some onions or fresh onion juice on the facial warts to get rid of them quickly. Rubbing the spot with a banana peel is another effective remedy for facial warts.

Natural Treatment for Plantar Warts

Plantar warts are mainly found on the soles of the feet and around the toes. They are quite hard to touch and are often white in color. This type of wart does not really spread to other parts of the body, but are comparatively more painful and can take some time to cure completely as they are known to be quite stubborn.
For plantar warts treatment, apply some fresh sap from the stem or leaf of milkweed to the affected area daily, for at least two weeks. Another good natural remedies for plantar warts is to cut a root of dandelion and apply it on the warts twice or thrice daily to detach the wart from the skin.
Soak your feet in warm water for around 20 minutes and then apply apple cider vinegar to the wart affected area with a cotton ball. Leave it on for 7-10 minutes and then wash off with warm water.
