It is concerned with digestion, assimilation of nutrients, and excretion of toxins from the body. Among other functions, it stores glucose, secretes various enzymes, and prevents fat buildup in the body.
A healthy liver is required to keep your physical health at its peak. A frequent cleanse is often considered as one of the options for ensuring optimum functioning of the liver. In this Story, we are going to know more on how to do a liver flush at home with the help of cleansing foods.

Natural Liver Cleanse

Liver cleanse is a way of detoxification of liver. Since, this organ is primarily associated with removal of toxins in the body and filtration of chemicals, it may get accumulated with these toxins over a period of time. Human body is very much capable of naturally removing these toxins from the body.
However, owing to very unhealthy diet that we consume, and the lifestyle that we lead today, body's natural detox mechanism is somewhat hampered. In the absence of natural detoxification, you need to cleanse the liver by making special attempts toward it. There are several ways in which the cleansing can be done.
Some people make use of special herbs while others follow a special cleansing diet. There are also some homeopathic medicines which are available, amongst other medicinal formulas.
However, no matter what way you choose to cleanse your liver, it is a must that you cleanse your colon and kidneys before liver. The reason for this is that, during detoxification of liver, the toxins from liver are released into the colon and kidneys. These toxins need to be removed from the body as early as possible, if not on an immediate basis.
If colon and kidneys do not function at their best during this time, the toxins will stay in the body for a longer time. Hence, it is a must that these organs should be detoxified well in advance, so that they can efficiently handle the added responsibility.
