» Green Tea

The benefits of green tea are many. It is not only an appetite suppressant tea, but it also aids in boosting metabolism. One can consume about 3 to 5 cups of green tea a day, for better results. However, it should be consumed without sugar, else it will defeat the purpose itself.

» Dandelion

If you have sugar cravings, then dandelion is the herb you may want to rely on. Along with curbing sugar cravings, it also helps to flush toxins out of the body, and boosts metabolism. It also helps to cleanse the bowel, as it has a light laxative effect on the body. This herb can either be taken in the form of tea or capsule.

» Fennel

» Cinnamon

» Guggul

The scientific name of this plant is Commiphora mukul. It is one of the popular herbs in Ayurveda, as well as in herbal medicine. It helps in weight control, and also in lowering cholesterol levels. As a matter of fact, it is prescribed by Ayurveda practitioners as a weight loss medicine or for suppressing appetite naturally.

» Red Pepper

Consuming red pepper helps to raise the metabolic rate. It also stimulates thirst, due to which the person consumes more liquids than solids, thereby losing more weight.
Even, ginger and oregano are also said to be appetite suppressant herbs. Although most of these herbs do not have side effects, it is recommended, that you talk to your health care professional, before you consume them.
