Chlorophyll supplements in the form of liquid chlorophyll are available at many health food shops. This story provides some information on the uses and benefits of the same.
All green plants contain a green pigment called chlorophyll, which provides energy to carry out the process of photosynthesis. This pigment is responsible for the absorption of light, thus providing the required energy.
Chlorophyll is also required by the human body, as it helps simulate red blood cells and improves the circulation of oxygen in the body. The only way it can be obtained is by the consumption of green leafy vegetables.
However, the problem that one encounters is that while cooking, most of the chlorophyll is lost. This can be observed when these green leafy vegetables are cooked or heated, and they lose their green color. Hence, the intake of chlorophyll supplements would become necessary.

One's unhealthy lifestyle and alcohol consumption results in the accumulation of toxic waste in the body. Consumption of this supplement would help the body to rid of all these accumulated toxins which causes problems like fatigue, irregular bowel movements, acne, and lackluster skin.
This supplement might prove beneficial to those affected by the problems of bad breath or body odor. Furthermore, it works as a deodorant when applied topically to the underarms. It can also act as a natural mouthwash, when diluted with water and then gargled with, two to three times a day.

First, take some fresh coriander leaves and spinach leaves, and process them in a food processor until the mixture becomes mushy. Now, gently bring it to a boil on a slow heat, and skim off the surface chlorophyll. Wrap this in a muslin cloth that is resting on ice cubes, so that the color stays green.
Squeeze out the excess green liquid from the muslin cloth into a container and the fresh liquid chlorophyll is ready. It can be used for food coloring in soups and stews for its health benefits.
However, it is necessary to make sure that one does not take more than the prescribed amount of this liquid, as diarrhea is one of the over-consumption side effects. Further, it helps in strengthening the immune system and also helps to remove toxins from the body.
These supplements are not recommended for pregnant and lactating women, and also for people diagnosed with heart diseases.
