  • Along with being analgesic it is also an anti-pyretic oil. This means it can bring down high fever. Due to this property lemongrass tea is often given to patients.
  • It can also be used to cure many fungal infection. It is taken internally or applied topically to get rid of fungal infections.
  • Lemongrass oil uses due to its aromatic quality are well-known. It has a sharp lemony-ginger like smell. It acts an anti-depressant and can be used to feel good. So, if you want a stimulating massage, mix few drops of this oil in your regular massage oil and use this mix for a rejuvenating massage.
  • Due to its aromatic quality it is also used as a deodorant. You can simply put few drops of lemongrass oil on your clothes or dilute it with a carrier oil and apply few drops under the armpits. It will act as an effective deodorant.
  • Lemongrass oil is also used as a sedative. It soothes and calms the mind and cures aches and itching of the skin. It can also be used to have a sound sleep.
  • Apart from the above mentioned properties lemongrass oil has many other properties like it is nervine, febrifuge, tonic, diuretic, carminative, etc.
