There are many users, who vouch for the effectiveness of this product in promoting health, and in curing certain ailments. It is widely used in various alternative medicine treatments.
According to some recent studies, wheatgrass may prove useful for digestive health, and in curing certain digestive disorders, like colitis. However, its role in treating cancer is still not clear.
Owing to the high nutritional value of this product, wheatgrass can be considered an ideal health supplement. Occasional use, that too in moderate amounts, is recommended. It will be better to consult a qualified herbalist and follow his instructions, with regard to its use.
Even though, use of wheatgrass is safe, it will be better for pregnant and nursing women to avoid this supplement. This is because of the purgative effects of wheatgrass. Another reason is the possibility of contamination with bacteria or mold.
