  • Avoid carbonated drinks as they trigger digestive disorders.
  • Artificial sweeteners taste awesome but too much of these can interfere with the working of the digestive system.
  • Quit smoking and drinking if you experience symptoms of indigestion. They may be the contributing factors.
  • Proteins require hydrochloric acid for digestion so make it a point to start your meals with proteins as the acid will be utilized by them.
  • Eat salad with the meal or in the end. Avoid taking salads before meals.
If some acute medical conditions are not the causes of indigestion, then it can be treated by adopting changes in the lifestyle and following a healthy diet. Over dependence on antacid and medicines must be avoided.
