However, sometimes, due to various reasons, this process is obstructed and it leads to indigestion. In a few other cases, what may happen is that, we eat something and it causes irritation to our digestive system.
These reasons can lead to stomach aches and other problems. They can be easily dealt with, with the help of ingredients found in the kitchen, unless there is some major disease associated with the problem.

Linger = Lemon and Ginger

Yes, this comes straight from grandmom's kitty. A tbsp. of lemon juice with a bit of ginger mixed in it, and if you want, a little bit of sugar will do the trick. This works wonders. This is none other than my own experience! Just have this mixture and stay put for some time.
I am sure within half an hour you would get relief from stomach ache and diarrhea. I believe this combination is the most effective and works almost instantly.

Yogurt

Stomach aches are a way of telling you that there is something wrong with the food eaten or an obstacle in digestion. One way to tackle this problem is to have yogurt. Yogurt has a lot of good bacteria, which you may be probably lacking. In fact, that could be the reason why you may experience as a stomach ache.

It's Hot, It's Cold

A hot bath or giving the stomach a hot compress is another way in which you can get rid of stomach pain. Add rosemary oil to the bath and it will be even better. It will be relaxing and soothing. Another thing you can do is to apply an ice pack on the spot where you feel the pain the most. It can work wonders.

Mint

To get relief from a stomach ache, have peppermint tea. It will have a soothing and relaxing effect on your intestines, as it coats your stomach. In case you have a mint plant, chew on mint leaves, but avoid swallowing them.

Pop it Off

Having a soda pop, or even mixing baking soda with water will prove to be effective, if there is indigestion which has led to trapped stomach gas. You would get that instant burp, reducing the pain and discomfort.

Rest

Just lying down on your stomach will help ease the pain. Lie down, relax, and breathe deeply. Try to think about good and pleasant things. Sometimes, not thinking about it also helps a great deal.
If these cures don't work for you, you can opt for over-the-counter medications. Most of these things would work for sure. The only thing is all of them would not work for everyone. Remember, if the problem persists, you need to visit your physician to get appropriate treatment.
