Each piece must be around one to two inches in length. Put the grated ginger in a pot, along with eight cups of water. Place the pot over high heat, and as the water boils, simmer it for ten minutes.
Once done, strain the infusion, and add half a cup of honey. You may also add one or two tablespoons of lemon juice (optional). Serve hot or cold. You may store the remaining tea in the refrigerator, for further use.
Method II: For preparing a cup of this herbal tea, you need a tablespoon of fresh grated ginger, two tablespoons honey, one cup of boiling water, and a green tea bag. You may also use a tablespoon of lemon juice to enhance the taste of this beverage. Put all the ingredients in a pot, and steep for around five minutes. After that, strain the infusion and serve.
Method III: You may also use black tea, along with ginger and honey. Prepare half a cup of black tea and keep aside. Clean and grate a large piece of ginger. Take two empty cups, and add a teaspoon each of grated ginger and a tablespoon each of honey, into them.
Pour a cup of boiling water into both cups. Let the mixture steep for the next five minutes. Once done, add a few tablespoons of black tea into each cup. Now strain the tea and serve.
