Apart from enhancing the flavor of a wide range of dishes, lemon and ginger root are also used for making herbal tea. This tea is said to be beneficial for improving health and for relieving some health problems.
Nowadays, ginger lemon tea bags are also available in the market. However, it is always better to use fresh ginger and lemon for preparing this drink.

Recipe

Tea leaves are not usually added for preparing this herbal tea. In order to prepare this refreshing drink, you need fresh ginger, lemon juice, and honey. If you wish, you may also add tea leaves or use tea bags. Use of sweetener is optional. You may replace honey with sugar or maple syrup.
In order to make this tea, take three cups of water in a pot. Place it over medium heat, and add the juice of a lemon, along with grated ginger. A three-inch piece of ginger will be sufficient.
As the water boils, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for around ten to fifteen minutes. After that, remove the infusion from heat, and add three to four tablespoons of honey. Mix well before straining, and serve hot.
Another method is to take grated ginger and lemon juice in a vessel. Add boiling water, and allow to steep for ten to fifteen minutes. Strain and add sweetener, before use. Some people like to steep this tea in thermos.
You may also try boiling/steeping the grated ginger for ten to fifteen minutes, before adding lemon juice and sweetener. If you like, add a tea bag, once you strain the infusion.
