Essential oils are a rage these days, and it’s not tough to know why. Everyone wants to feel good, and ready to try anything that may help. Essential oils may not be magical or replacement for medical treatment, but they are effective in increasing quality of life.

Ways to Use Essential Oils

There are many ways you can reap the benefits of the scents of essential oils. One way is by a diffuser, a small device that spritzes the air in your home with whatever scent you put into it. Inhaling essential oils can provide relaxation, stress relief, or waking up early.
Some essential oils are best experienced through topical use; the rubbing on your skin, creating a soothing sensation. Some can be put in spray bottles; diluted with water. Some oils can be used as alternative to more harsh chemical cleaners for the house.
In order to reduce the intensity of certain scents, you can mix them with carrier oils such as almond or coconut scent.

Stress Relief

Stress affects everyone, and essential oils can help you unwind after a long day, or calm you before a big test or interview. Put a few drops of lavender and/or cedar wood into your diffuser and inhale deeply. You can rub some lavender and coconut on your hands or chest, and the scent can calm you.
You can also soothe a nasty headache with either a calming lavender bath, or a simple temple massage with peppermint and eucalyptus. With less stress, you can seize the day, or recharge so you’re ready for the next day.

Waking Up

Not many of us are good at or enthusiastic about getting up early in the morning, especially if we know it will be a long stressful day at work or school. Scents like lemon, grapefruit, spearmint, peppermint, cinnamon, and frankincense work as either a diffuser or by rubbing it on palms.
Just inhale any of these, or a combination of a few of them, and you’ll be ready for whatever the day has in store for you.

Skin Breakouts

Breakouts don’t stop after adolescence, and it can be a pain to contain them. You can try oil hacks to combat them. Mix some cedarwood, lemongrass, chamomile, or tea tree oil with a carrier oil as jojoba or grapeseed and apply it to your skin.
You can try combining few drops of tea tree oil to some honey, apply it to affected area, leave it on for five to ten minutes before washing it off with water.
There are many uses of essential oils to make your everyday life easier and more enjoyable. There are plenty of online resources to help you find even more good hacks, and brands of essential oils to choose from, such as Young Living Essential Oils and doTerra.
Essential oils are good for various things, but remember that if you have a serious medical concern, make sure you see a doctor. Essential oils are not a replacement for medicine, they are a tool for easing emotional stresses and relaxation, among other minor problems that do not need doctor’s visit.
